Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences a severe emergency like chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department at Queens Hospital or King George Hospital or call 999.

PLEASE ONLY USE THIS SERVICE IN EXTREME EMERGENCIES THAT ARE POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING AND CANNOT WAIT!

Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can assess serious injuries and provide emergency treatment

A&E IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE TO TAKE CHILDREN OR ADULTS WITH COUGHS, COLDS, DIARRHOEA OR OTHER MINOR AILMENTS!

THIS IS OVERLOADING THE SYSTEM AND INCREASES WAITING TIMES IN A&E.

EACH ATTENDANCE IN A&E COSTS AT LEAST £75 OF YOUR NHS MONEY - MORE OFTEN SEVERAL HUNDRED POUNDS.
